MOUNT SVETI ILIJA
HIKING ADVENTURE
Mount Sveti Ilija (highest peak 961 m) is considered the most beautiful hike on the Pelješac Peninsula. The moderate forest filled nature hike is 6.7 miles round trip which includes spectacular panoramic views of the Dalmatian coastline, Adriatic Sea and Korčula. The descending hike back to the village of Orebić on ancient trails, provides sensational views of historic churches, vineyards and architecturally stunning villas.
MANICURED GARDENS& NATURE WALK
At Korta Katarina, the gardens are more than a visual delight. they’re a living extension of the villa’s ethos, set directly along the Adriatic coast. This seaside sanctuary invites guests into a curated sensory experience where Mediterranean flora, vineyard elegance, and panoramic sea views come together.
The nature walk winds through fragrant pathways lined with oleander, bougainvillea, and rockrose, each chosen for its vibrant color and resilience in the salty coastal air. Lavender and Adriatic heather add seasonal texture and aromatic depth, while trellised blooms and low hedges frame the villa’s stone architecture with elegance and warmth.
As guests stroll beneath the cypress trees and past groves of olive and citrus, the sea breeze carries notes of rosemary, sage, and santolina, blending botanical fragrance with the rhythm of the waves. The olive trees, with their silvery leaves and sculptural trunks, offer a quiet nod to the region’s agricultural heritage—symbolizing peace, longevity, and the timeless connection between land and culture.
Climbing vines soften architectural edges, while native jasmine adds a delicate perfume to shaded arbors and sunlit terraces. Whether enjoyed as a morning ritual or a golden-hour escape, the nature walk at Korta Katarina is a celebration of place—where the land meets the sea, and every detail is designed to awaken the senses.
